Pastor's History With The Church

This ministry is indebted to the visionary leadership of the REV. L. K. CURRY & SISTER DOROTHY D. CURRY who envisioned a Christian Educational institution through the support of the Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Back in the 1960s, Pastor Curry pastored a small church of 15 members in a small town in California. In this town his vision for a church school began as he would gather children from the street to be instructed by he and his wife on the church steps. From those small beginnings, the Emmanuel Christian School has taken form.

I am a debtor to Pastor Curry and Sis. Dorothy D. Curry who called me to share in their vision in June of 1983 as a teacher in this Christian education system. Their vision has lead me on a quest to continue the vision of "Raising up a nation that will obey the Lord."
